Orange Julius

This is one of those recipes I hardly ever make but love! It not only brings back great memories but tastes great!  I remember as a kid my mom making these for us and it was a real treat!!
Orange Julius
1 (12 oz.) can frozen orange juice
2 1/2 cups milk
1 1/2 cup water
1 cup sugar
2 tsp. vanilla
15-18 ice cubes. (or more depending on how you like it!)
Blend until smooth. About 30 seconds.  Start with 15 ice cubes and then add more if needed.
The only issue this time is the blender you see in the picture, no longer exists. When we washed it someone set it on the counter and my husband knocked it off and it broke. Now I am on the look out for a good new blender.

  6. I am sorry about your blender. Sometimes, it is fun to get a new model.

My dishwasher just went and I would have gone without it but hubby was a good sport and insisted. I don't want the bells and whistles but I like the set-up better, more room for dishes.

    I want an orange Julius.

  8. Yum! Isn't it funny how you forget about recipes that you used to love? I had totally forgotten about the good old Orange Julius's.

Well I wanted to click over and say that I received your nice cookbook in the mail and I am so very excited.

I'm sorry that I haven't been on the computer at all lately. I meant to come over forever ago to thank you, so I'm so sorry if I seemed ungracious! :) Hoping to get back in the swing of things soon.

:) Thanks for making my day!

  10. I haven't seen an orange julius in years, my uncle use to have an orange julis stand in the mall, the celebration punch sounds good too, I mix 7-up & ginger ale with my sherbert to make abig bowl of punch, whatever the color theme is is what flavor sherbert to use LOL I will have to give the lemon lime a try

  12. We had the same problem with our blender! Somebody crammed it in the cupboard and when I proceeded to open it, the dang thing fell out and broke. It was a very nice one too. Made me wonder if having an (then) 11 year old unload the dishwasher was a good idea. I still havent replaced.
