The Cake of Many Colors

Hi.. My name is Kayla and I am Tiffanee's oldest daughter. I love to cook and experiment with different recipes.  This has been one of my favorites lately because it is really a cake that brightens your day! haha!!
It is fun to make and so delicious to eat! One of those cakes that will never be the same each time you make it.  So it can also be known as the cake of many patterns!!
The Cake of Many Colors
1 package white or yellow cake mix (I used yellow)
Food coloring
*Some One Direction music to rock out to while you work. :)
Follow the instructions on the box to make the cake batter.
Divide the batter in to different bowls for however many colors you plan on using.
I used seven.  Put ten drops (or until you get the color you want) of the desired color in each bowl
 and stir to mix.
Grease your pan.  Start with one color and spoon it into the bottom of the pan. Put the next color in the middle on top of the first color.  Repeat until all your colors are used.
At this point you can run a knife through it to make it look a little tye dyed.
Bake according to the box instructions.
Let cool and frost!!
Then enjoy this delicious colorful cake!
What a fun cake!!

  2. Kayla, your cake is absolutely wonderful! LOVE all the colors and how you made it look tye dyed. It would be perfect without frosting (but, of course, frosting is always appreciated!) =o) Great job!
