This is a simple, delicious and versatile breakfast casserole. I made it for the in-laws on Sunday morning paired with Simply Caramel Rolls. Everyone loved it. My father in-law, a man of very few words, made sure they did not leave here without the recipe. It was a great compliment.
Lightly grease 9 x 13 pan. Mix hash browns (1- 30 oz bag) with 1/2 cup melted butter.
Cook for 30 minutes.
*It doesn't matter if your hash browns are frozen or thawed.
Turn oven down to 350 degrees
Mix together then pour over the hash browns.
3 eggs
½ cup half & half
½ teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon pepper
½ teaspoon seasoning salt
2 cups shredded cheese
1 cup diced ham
Cook an additional 30 minutes at 350 degrees.

You could replace the ham with bacon, sausage or a combination of meats. (Yum, Hubby would like the combination.)

Do you use frozen or thawed hashbrowns? It looks very yummy!
ReplyDeleteIt really doesn't matter if the hashbrowns are frozen or not. I usually make it with frozen ones.
ReplyDeleteSo do you thaw the hashbrowns before mixing them with the butter?
ReplyDeleteI just made this for a friends kids that were with me for the evening. It was a big hit. I posted a link to it on my online recipe box. Thank you!
