Soda Pop Cake

The original recipe called for Dr Pepper.  I LOVE Dr Pepper so I knew I had to give it a try.  I ended up making two different versions. They were both moist and delicious. The good thing about this recipe is there are lots of flavor combinations you could try out! You  choose the cake mix, pudding and soda pop flavors you want to try out.
Soda Pop Cake
adapted from Group Recipes
1 box cake mix
1 small box of pudding
4 eggs
3/4 cup oil
1 1/4 cups soda pop

Glaze:
1 cup powdered sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
and enough soda pop to make a thin glaze.

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.  Add cake mix, pudding, eggs, oil and pop together and mix until combined.  Pour into a well greased bundt pan
Bake for 50-60 minutes or until the cake springs back when you touch it.
Remove cake from pan to cool.
When cake it cool mix up the glaze and pour over the top.
Notice this one was a failure coming out of the pan..
I used a yellow cake mix, vanilla pudding and Dr Pepper in this one.
Now this one came out of the pan perfectly thank goodness!!
I used a chocolate cake mix, chocolate pudding and diet cherry coke for this one.
I was a little disappointed that you really couldn't taste the pop flavor, but it was still delicious.
I expected everyone to like the chocolate one better, but it was the yellow one that actually got eaten first.
But they both got eaten!
Kind of a fun recipe!!
