Quick and Easy Beef Stroganoff

The other day I needed something quick and easy to feed my starving crew.  Unfortunately, I needed something that I actually had all the ingredients for, this fit all the qualifications and did not disappoint.  It was on the table in under 30 minutes and was delicious!  My picky eater even had seconds.

Quick and Easy Beef Stroganoff 

1 lb hamburger 

1/2 to 3/4 cup onion, diced small

1 tsp garlic powder 

1/2 tsp onion powder 

1/2 tsp salt

1/2 tsp pepper 

1 (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup

1 packet brown gravy

1 cup water 

1/2 cup sour cream 

12-16 oz egg noodles or other pasta 

  1. Bring a pan of water to boil to cook your noodles according to directions on package.
  2. While the noodles are cooking, brown hamburger with the onions, garlic powder, onions powder, salt and pepper.
  3. Drain any excessive grease or liquid from the meat mixture.
  4. Mix gravy packet with 1 cup water, then whisk in the cream of mushroom soup and sour cream until smooth.
  5. Add the hamburger mixture back into the saucepan with the gravy mixture.  Stir to combine. Simmer to allow flavors to mix.
  6. Once your noodles are cooked, drain and you can either mix into the hamburger or serve mixture over the noodles.
